Longford Church of England Primary School

A message from the Headteacher, Philip Searson

We are a small church school where all pupils are known as individuals and their personalities and individualities are cherished and can grow. We aim to provide each one with the right balance of support, encouragement and challenge to ensure they fulfil their potential in terms of personal development and academic achievements. The school has a set of core values which are an integral part of everyday life at Longford and shape the lives of children in terms of their character building. Learning is focussed on teaching skills and knowledge in all curriculum areas to ensure the children can use and apply these independently, and are inspired to be lifelong learners. We celebrate achievements and mistakes, as these are both the stepping stones for progression in a child’s journey to becoming an independent, confident and self-reflective learner.  We aim to provide a broad range of extracurricular activities to offer children to develop individual interests and talents. Feel free to ring to make an appointment to visit to see for yourselves what a truly special school Longford is.
